THE POTTERIES MARATHON

The Potteries Marathon takes place in Stoke On Trent, England every year in June. I am told by many veterans that it is easily the friendliest marathon in the country. The course itself is not easy but the locals are very supportive. Not only are there drinks stations every 3 miles but dozens of unnofficial ones too. Many people set up hoses so that you can have a cool shower and even places where you can have a cup of tea. Around the course this year there were many pubs with disco's, karaokes and live bands.
